PunkBuster installation process

Since Evenbalance dropped the support for Battlefield 1942 you may get connection problems after a new install of Battlefield.

HowTo install:
  • Insert your Battlefield 1942 CD and run the install as usual. Make sure to install all patches (1.6 and 1.61b)
  • Navigate to "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\" and delete the subfolder "pb\"!
  • Run PB_Update_BF1942.exe made by Flüstertüte
  • Run pbsvc.exe for Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7
